Hello and welcome to Hanbridge Institute! We are delighted to have you join our school community and hope your time here will be filled with meaningful learning, new friendships, and memorable experiences.
As a Hanbridge student, you are automatically a member of the Hanbridge Student Union (HBSU). The Student Union is a student-led body created to represent your voice, support student life, and bring the school community together through activities and events. The team is led by one President and one Vice President, supported by a Secretary, Marketing Committee members, Events Committee members, and a Logistics Committee member. Together, they work to plan student activities, organise events, and ensure students feel heard, supported, and connected.
The Hanbridge Student Union is here to help create a vibrant campus culture — from festive celebrations and bonding activities to talks, workshops, and student-led initiatives. Most importantly, we are here for you. If you have ideas, feedback, or need support in your student journey, the Student Union is always ready to listen and take action.
A Student-Led Community Bringing Campus Life to Life
Established in 2023, the Hanbridge Student Union (HBSU) was formed to represent student voices, strengthen community spirit, and create meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. Led by students, the Union works closely with the school to support student welfare, organise events, and build a vibrant and inclusive campus culture. Since its formation, the Hanbridge Student Union has played a key role in shaping an active student environment. Over the years, the Union has organised and supported a wide range of academic, cultural, wellness, and community-based initiatives that encourage students to participate, express themselves, and build confidence.
The Student Union has led and supported events such as musical concerts featuring local cultural songs performed with community choirs, Deepavali cultural celebrations that immerse students in Singapore’s diverse traditions, Halloween costume parties, Chinese Lantern Festival activities, and whole-school movie nights that bring staff and students together.
Students have also represented Hanbridge at regional leadership platforms, including participation in the ASEAN–China–India Youth Leadership Summit, providing valuable exposure to international youth dialogue and leadership development.
Community impact remains an important part of student life at Hanbridge. Student Union initiatives have included book donation drives, business sustainability awareness events, and partnerships such as the FCFC football society collaboration, encouraging teamwork, social responsibility, and outreach beyond campus.
The Union also plays a major role in milestone events. From graduation ceremonies and school anniversary celebrations to welcoming new student intakes, the Student Union supports event planning, student engagement, stage activities, and on-site coordination. Recent highlights include raffles and live performances during new batch leader inaugurations, wellness initiatives such as chiropractic posture talks and complimentary health checks, and large-scale festive celebrations across the school. Through these activities, the Hanbridge Student Union continues to build a school environment where students feel heard, included, and inspired. The Union is not just an organising body — it is a platform for leadership, creativity, collaboration, and friendship.
At Hanbridge, student life is not an add-on. It is part of the learning journey.
