Academic pathway from GCE O-Level results to Singapore Polytechnics and Junior Colleges.

Preparatory Course For Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate Of Education (Ordinary Level)

Introduction

This course prepares students for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examination, the national examination taken by Secondary 4/5 students in Singapore government schools. The GCE ‘O’ Level qualification is internationally recognised and serves as a key pathway for students who wish to pursue post-secondary education in Singapore and other Commonwealth countries.

Upon successful completion of the full O-Level certification, students may progress to local polytechnics, junior colleges, or other equivalent institutions. The qualification is also recognised by many universities and colleges globally, offering students broad opportunities for academic advancement.

Hanbridge Institute’s preparatory course is designed in accordance with the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) syllabuses. The curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure that the content remains aligned with current assessment requirements. All classes are conducted by qualified educators who are experienced in teaching the O-Level curriculum and supporting students in achieving their academic potential.

Note: Singapore’s national examination structure will transition to the Singapore Education Certificate (SEC) framework from 2027 onwards. While the present programme continues to follow the existing GCE O-Level syllabus, Hanbridge Institute will adapt future cohorts in accordance with SEAB’s official guidelines when implemented.
