Hanbridge Institute Establishes Strategic Partnership with YMD to Expand Study Opportunities in Singapore

Hanbridge Institute is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with the Youth Mind Development Centre (YMD) in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai, Vietnam. Formalised on 25 October 2026, the collaboration aims to expand educational opportunities for Vietnamese students seeking to pursue their studies in Singapore.

Led by its Director, Master Nguyễn Quang Tánh, YMD shares Hanbridge Institute‘s commitment to providing quality education, academic guidance, and meaningful learning opportunities that support students’ future aspirations.

Through this partnership, both institutions will work together to introduce educational pathways in Singapore while strengthening support for students and families in the local community.

Two Educational Pathways for Vietnamese Students

The partnership will initially focus on introducing two educational pathways designed to meet the needs of students at different stages of their academic journeys.

Pathway 1: Pursuing a UK Bachelor’s Degree in Singapore

Designed for Vietnamese students who have completed Grade 10 or its equivalent, this pathway introduces opportunities to begin their higher education journey through Hanbridge Institute’s foundation and business management programmes.

Through Hanbridge Institute’s academic programmes and partnership with the University of Suffolk, United Kingdom, eligible students may pursue a structured academic progression towards a BA (Hons) Business Management degree awarded by the University of Suffolk.

Depending on their age when commencing studies, academic qualifications, progression and fulfilment of the relevant entry requirements, students may have the opportunity to complete their educational pathway within approximately three years and graduate at around 19 years of age.

The actual duration and age at graduation will vary according to each student’s starting point, programme selection and academic progress.

This pathway aims to help students build a strong foundation in business studies while preparing them for future career opportunities or postgraduate education.

Pathway 2: Preparation for Admission to Singapore Government Schools

The second pathway focuses on primary and lower secondary students who aspire to enter Singapore’s government school system.

Through Hanbridge Institute’s preparatory programmes, students can strengthen their foundations in English and Mathematics while developing the knowledge and examination skills needed for Singapore’s Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) and Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students (S-AEIS), where applicable.

These programmes aim to help international students become better prepared for Singapore’s academic environment and the admission requirements of its government schools.

Admission is subject to the relevant examination results, eligibility criteria, and placement requirements established by Singapore’s Ministry of Education.

Strengthening Educational Collaboration in Dong Nai

As Hanbridge Institute’s first official partner in Dong Nai, YMD will play an important role in connecting local students and families with educational information, consultation services, and academic guidance.

Beyond introducing study pathways, the partnership aims to establish a long-term support network that helps parents make informed decisions about their children’s education.

By combining Hanbridge Institute’s experience in Singapore education with YMD’s understanding of the local community, both organisations hope to make international education pathways more accessible and easier for families to navigate.

Upcoming Educational Initiatives

As part of their collaboration, Hanbridge Institute and YMD plan to introduce several initiatives to support students and parents in Nhon Trach.

ASEAN Scholarship Information Seminar

One of the first planned activities is a dedicated seminar introducing the ASEAN Scholarship to students in Grades 8, 9, and 10.

The session will provide information about scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements, and potential educational pathways in Singapore, helping students and parents better understand the application process.

Scholarship opportunities are subject to the eligibility criteria and selection requirements of the relevant scholarship schemes.

Educational Seminars and Parent Consultations

Both organisations also plan to organise educational seminars addressing topics relevant to Vietnamese students and their families.

These initiatives will include the proposed KopiTalk programme, which aims to provide confidential, one-to-one consultations for parents seeking personalised educational guidance.

Career Guidance and Community Support

Looking ahead, Hanbridge Institute and YMD will explore opportunities to participate in career guidance activities at local high schools in Nhon Trach.

The partnership will also consider initiatives that encourage academic achievement and talent development, particularly among students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

These efforts reflect both organisations’ shared interest in supporting education beyond the classroom and contributing positively to the wider community.

Building New Opportunities Through Education

This partnership represents another step in Hanbridge Institute’s efforts to strengthen educational connections between Singapore and Vietnam.

By working closely with local educational organisations such as YMD, Hanbridge aims to provide students and parents with clearer information, practical guidance and greater awareness of the educational pathways available in Singapore.

At Hanbridge Institute, we believe education has the potential to create opportunities, broaden perspectives and empower individuals to pursue their aspirations.

We look forward to a meaningful and lasting partnership with YMD as we work together to support the next generation of learners in Vietnam.
