Student Support Services
Hanbridge Institute is committed to promoting the wellbeing and academic progression of every student. Our Student Services Team serves as the primary point of contact for administrative matters, academic enquiries and personal support needs. Students who require assistance with programme information, attendance matters, timetables, campus guidance or wellbeing concerns can approach our staff for personalised support. Where appropriate, students may also be referred for pastoral care or professional counselling resources to ensure that both academic and personal challenges are addressed in a holistic manner. Students and graduates may request information on academic performance and graduate outcomes through the administrative office.
Hanbridge Institute recognises that personal and emotional wellbeing is essential for successful learning. Students who experience stress, anxiety, adjustment difficulties or personal challenges are encouraged to seek confidential support from Student Services. Referrals to external professional counsellors and community resources may be arranged when necessary.
Attendance & Leave
Hanbridge Institute recognises that students may occasionally require leave due to medical, personal or other valid reasons. Students who are unable to attend scheduled classes are required to submit a formal leave application for approval, in accordance with the Institute’s attendance policies.
All leave requests should be supported by relevant documentation where applicable and submitted in a timely manner. Attendance records form an important part of academic progression and, where relevant, student pass compliance. Students are therefore advised to ensure that all absences are properly declared and approved.
Feedback, Complaints & Dispute Resolution
Hanbridge Institute is committed to resolving student feedback, concerns and disputes in a fair, transparent and timely manner. Our dispute management framework is aligned with the Private Education Regulations. We welcome constructive feedback from students as part of our quality assurance processes. The Institute accepts both written and verbal feedback, including emails, letters, formal submission forms, meetings or phone discussions. If a student has a concern or complaint, he or she should first raise the matter with the relevant lecturer or staff member so that it can be addressed informally and promptly. Where an issue cannot be resolved at this level, the student may submit a formal feedback or dispute form for review by the School and Management.

Assessment, Appeals & Academic Integrity
Hanbridge Institute maintains rigorous assessment standards aligned with our university partners. Students will receive clear assessment information at the start of each module. Appeals may be submitted within the stated timeframe and will be reviewed by an independent academic panel. Students who wish to appeal against assessment results or academic decisions may do so through the official Assessment and Appeal Procedures, subject to the stipulated timelines.
Hanbridge Institute upholds high standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, cheating and other forms of academic misconduct are treated seriously and handled in accordance with the Institute’s regulations and, where applicable, the requirements of our university partners.
AI tools can be helpful for learning when used appropriately. Students may use AI to clarify concepts, check grammar, generate ideas or draft outlines, provided that they remain actively engaged in the learning process and take responsibility for the final work submitted. Students must not present AI-generated content as their own original work, nor rely on AI to complete assessments without meaningful personal contribution. Where AI tools have been used to support an assignment, students should follow the lecturer’s guidelines on declaration and referencing. Misuse of AI tools will be treated as academic misconduct and addressed through the Institute’s disciplinary procedures.
School Fees and Payment Information
Information on school fees, billing schedules and approved payment methods is available through the Student Services Team. The Institute provides clear guidance on payment procedures to help students manage their financial responsibilities smoothly and without uncertainty.
Student Safety, Harassment & Misconduct
Hanbridge Institute maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, bullying, discrimination and sexual misconduct. All reported cases are treated with confidentiality and seriousness. The Institute will take appropriate action to protect the safety and wellbeing of students, including referrals to relevant authorities if necessary. Our safeguarding measures reflect our commitment to a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
Course Transfer, Withdrawal, Refund & Deferment
Hanbridge Institute recognises that students may experience changes in academic goals, personal circumstances or learning needs during their course of study. To support these situations, the Institute provides clearly defined policies on course transfer, withdrawal, deferment and refunds. Students who wish to make changes to their study arrangements may request a course transfer, withdrawal, deferment or refund in accordance with the Institute’s policies. Each request is reviewed individually, taking into consideration academic suitability, regulatory requirements and the student’s overall welfare. Clear guidelines and timelines are provided to ensure that students understand the implications of each decision and are able to make informed choices about their education pathway.
Students considering any of these options are strongly encouraged to consult our Student Services staff or programme leaders before submitting a request, so that the academic and financial implications are fully understood. A formal application must be submitted for all transfer, withdrawal and deferment requests. Each application will be assessed on an individual basis, taking into account factors such as academic suitability, attendance records, visa status (for international students), course availability and regulatory obligations. Students will be informed of the outcome in writing once the review is completed.
Refund eligibility, where applicable, is governed by the Institute’s Refund Policy, which outlines conditions under which refunds may be granted and the corresponding refund percentages. Students should review this policy carefully, especially when considering a withdrawal or transfer to another service provider. The Refund Policy operates in accordance with the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) under the Private Education Act.
Payments that are overdue may incur administrative charges in accordance with the Institute’s Late Payment Policy. Students are advised to refer to the Miscellaneous Fees Schedule for a full breakdown of applicable charges.
