The programme is available on both full-time and part-time basis and can be completed within 12 months. As with all University of Suffolk programmes delivered at Hanbridge Institute, the qualification is awarded directly by the University of Suffolk and is internationally recognised.
Course Structure and Modules: MA Education at Hanbridge Institute
The Master of Arts in Education equips educators with advanced knowledge, research skills, and leadership capabilities. The programme consists of five core modules:
- Applying Theory in Research
Focuses on understanding and applying educational theories to guide research. Students develop critical analysis skills, design studies ethically, and present evidence-based arguments. - Inclusive Practice and Disability
Covers the rights and needs of disabled learners. Students evaluate policy and practice, engage with research, and propose inclusive, sustainable solutions. - Leadership and Coaching
Explores educational leadership and coaching within organisational and cultural contexts. Students reflect on their values, manage change, and communicate evidence-based strategies. - Reflective Practice and Ethics
Strengthens ethical reasoning and reflective practice. Students connect theory to professional experiences, assess research, and develop sustainable approaches to complex challenges. - Independent Project
A capstone project integrating theory, research, and methodology. Students produce original, evidence-based solutions, develop project management skills, and communicate findings to varied audiences.
Entry Requirements: MA Education at Hanbridge Institute
The programme welcomes applicants who meet the following criteria:
Minimum Age: 20 years old
Academic Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree with a minimum 2:2 classification in a relevant subject; or
- A professional qualification at graduate Level 6 or Level 7; or
- A Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) (UK) or equivalent, for applicants aged 30 or above with a minimum of 8 years of work experience.
English Language Proficiency:
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following:
- Minimum C6 in English Language at Singapore GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent;
- An approved English test recognised by the University of Suffolk (details here);
