MOE Announces 2026 S-AEIS Application and Test Schedule Key Dates, Application Process, and Exam Overview

The Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is a centralized entrance examination administered by Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) for international students seeking admission into Singapore government primary and secondary schools.

The Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students (S-AEIS) serves as an alternative pathway for students who were unable to participate in the September AEIS, or who were unsuccessful in the main exercise.

📌 Important note:
The S-AEIS does not offer examinations for:

  • Primary 5

  • Secondary 3

The Ministry of Education (MOE), together with the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB), has officially released the 2026 S-AEIS application periods, examination dates, and application procedures. For families planning entry into Singapore government schools in 2026, these dates represent a critical planning milestone.

8. Examination Focus and Content Overview

MOE has clearly stated that S-AEIS assesses whether students possess the academic readiness required to transition into the next level of mainstream schooling.

Primary Level

Students must be familiar with Mathematics topics taught in mainstream schools at the level preceding the one applied for.

Secondary Level

Students must be familiar with English and Mathematics content taught at the preceding secondary level.

S-AEIS is therefore not an accelerated curriculum exam, but one that evaluates academic alignment and language readiness within Singapore’s education system.
