Singapore Passport Tops Global Ranking Again! Where Does Yours Stand?

According to the latest Henley Passport Index (July 2025) released by Henley & Partners, the global passport “power” ranking has been updated. Singapore remains at No.1 worldwide, with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 193 destinations — truly “one passport to travel the world.”

Although there was a slight adjustment from the start of the year (some destinations changed to e-visa), Singapore still maintains a commanding lead. Japan and South Korea follow closely, with access to 190 destinations each. In third place are Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain, tied with 189 destinations.

  • 🇺🇸 The United States has slipped to 10th place for the first time since the index was launched, with access to 182 destinations.
  • 🇬🇧 The United Kingdom is currently ranked 6th.
  • At the bottom of the list remain Afghanistan (25 destinations) and Syria (27 destinations).

🌟 A Stronger Chinese Passport

China’s passport has made significant progress over the past decade — climbing from 94th to 61st place, now allowing visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to 85 destinations.

  • ✔️ Hong Kong SAR passport: 17th place, 169 destinations
  • ✔️ Macao SAR passport: 32nd place, 144 destinations
