Hanbridge Institute Graduation 2026 and 25th Anniversary Celebration at Raffles Hotel Singapore

Celebrating the Class of 2026 and 25 Years of Hanbridge Institute

On 16 October 2026, Hanbridge Institute gathered at Raffles Hotel Singapore to celebrate two significant milestones: Graduation 2026 and the institute’s 25th Anniversary.

The occasion brought together graduates, their families, academic leaders, distinguished guests, staff and partners to recognise our students’ achievements and reflect on the journey that has shaped Hanbridge Institute over the years.

From celebrating academic accomplishments to honouring the people behind our growth, the event was a reminder of the importance of education, perseverance and the community that supports every student’s journey.

Celebrating the Achievements of Our Class of 2026

Graduation marks the culmination of months and years of dedication, hard work and determination. For our Class of 2026, it was an opportunity to celebrate their achievements alongside the people who supported them throughout their studies.

We were honoured to welcome Professor Jenny Higham, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the University of Suffolk, UK, who presented certificates to graduates from the following programmes:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • MSc International Business and Management
  • BA (Hons) Business Management

Dr Alan Go, Director, Academic and Admission, and Chairman of the Academic Board at Hanbridge Institute, also presented certificates to graduates from our Higher Diploma in Business Management and Foundation Certificate in Business Innovations programmes.

During the ceremony, Dr Alan Go reflected on the diverse backgrounds and experiences of Hanbridge’s students:

“Hanbridge has welcomed students from different places, cultures and educational backgrounds. Many arrived with hopes and ambitions. Your graduation represents more than academic achievement. It represents your perseverance and your willingness to continue even when the journey was difficult.”

Dr Alan Go, Chairman of the Academic Board at Hanbridge Institute, addressing graduates and guests during the Graduation 2026 ceremony.

His words highlighted an important message: graduation is not simply about receiving a qualification. It is also about recognising the challenges overcome, the knowledge gained and the determination required to reach this milestone.

To all our graduates, congratulations on your achievements and the dedication that brought you here.

Strengthening Our Academic Partnership with the University of Suffolk

The presence of Professor Jenny Higham was particularly meaningful as Hanbridge Institute continues to strengthen its academic partnership with the University of Suffolk, UK.

Since establishing our partnership in 2021, Hanbridge Institute has worked with the University of Suffolk to provide opportunities for students to pursue UK university qualifications while studying in Singapore.

What began with business-focused degree programmes has since expanded to include additional areas of study, reflecting the changing needs of students and working professionals.

The introduction of the MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and MA Education programmes has further broadened the academic pathways available through this partnership.

These programmes complement our existing business and management offerings, creating opportunities for students and professionals with different educational backgrounds and career aspirations.

During the graduation ceremony, Professor Higham shared the University of Suffolk’s belief in the wider impact of education:

“We believe education can deliver transformational change both to individuals and the communities we serve. Challenging established beliefs to advance the boundaries of knowledge.”

This shared belief in the value of education continues to guide our partnership as we work towards supporting students in their academic and professional development.

A Graduate’s Journey: Learning Has No Age Limit

Among the many meaningful moments of Graduation 2026 was the valedictorian address delivered by Cao Hui, a graduate of the Master of Business Administration programme.

Her journey with Hanbridge Institute began not as a student herself, but as a parent.

In 2023, Cao Hui enrolled her son in Hanbridge Institute’s AEIS Preparatory Course. With guidance and encouragement from his teachers, Ms Priya and Ms Su, he worked towards his goal of gaining admission to a Singapore government school.

This experience introduced Cao Hui to Hanbridge Institute and eventually inspired her to embark on an education journey of her own.

Having last graduated from university 23 years earlier, Cao Hui had already built more than two decades of professional experience in international trade and shipping.

However, as emerging technologies and artificial intelligence continue to reshape industries, she recognised the importance of updating her knowledge and developing new perspectives.

For Cao Hui, pursuing an MBA was not simply about gaining another qualification. It was an opportunity to remain connected with a changing world and demonstrate the importance of lifelong learning to her children.

As she shared during her valedictorian speech:

“Learning has no age limit, and it is never too late to challenge yourself.”

Her story reflects the different motivations that bring students to Hanbridge Institute. Whether they are beginning their academic journey, seeking new qualifications, or returning to education after years in the workforce, each graduate has a story of determination and personal growth.

    Expanding Educational Connections Beyond Singapore

While Graduation 2026 celebrated the achievements of our students, it also provided an opportunity to reflect on Hanbridge Institute’s continued development.

Earlier in October 2026, Hanbridge Institute marked another milestone with the official opening of our representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The establishment of our Vietnam representative office strengthens our connections with students, families, and education partners in Vietnam. It also provides a local point of contact for those interested in exploring educational opportunities in Singapore.

Led by Dr Kevin Dinh, Vietnam Country Director of Hanbridge Institute, the office represents an important step in building closer educational connections between Singapore and Vietnam.

This expansion reflects the same commitment that we celebrated during graduation: helping students from different backgrounds access educational pathways and pursue their aspirations.

As Hanbridge Institute continues to develop its international connections and academic partnerships, we remain focused on supporting students throughout the different stages of their education journey.

Beyond the graduation ceremony, the event marked a special occasion in Hanbridge Institute’s history: our 25th Anniversary Celebration.

From our humble beginnings as a single-classroom Business Chinese education provider, Hanbridge Institute has grown into an institution offering a range of educational pathways, from preparatory courses to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

This growth has been shaped by the vision, leadership and dedication of our founders, Ms Maggie Xia, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms Monica Sun, Chief Financial Officer. Their commitment to education has helped establish the values and culture that continue to guide Hanbridge Institute today.

Over the years, our journey has also been supported by the contributions of educators, staff, academic partners and the wider Hanbridge community.

The 25th Anniversary Celebration provided an opportunity to recognise these contributions and express our appreciation to the people who have helped shape the institution.

An Afternoon of Performances, Appreciation and Celebration

Following the graduation ceremony, the celebrations continued with an afternoon of entertainment and activities.

Guests enjoyed musical performances by Xu Xiajun, a BA (Hons) Business Management student, and Dr Kevin Dinh, our Vietnam Country Director.

The event also included special staff awards recognising individuals for their exceptional contributions and dedication to Hanbridge Institute.

These moments brought together students, alumni, staff and partners, making the celebration not only a reflection of our achievements but also an opportunity to appreciate the relationships built over the years.
