Hanbridge Higher Diploma in Business Management (General Business Studies)

Introduction

This programme provides an ideal study path for student to learn the workings of the world of business world.  It will allow the development of the skills and attributes through the learning of what makes a business organisation works and function include communication, information literacy, critical thinking, teamwork, ethics, and social responsibility.  Students completing this programme will hold a qualification that will enhance their career development in the field in which they are interested. The aims of the programme:

  • Develop skills in design thinking and problem solving.
  • Examine and assess the importance of innovation and its related technological management.
  • Gain exposure to “real life” business situations and develop a clear understanding of the issues in business world.
  • Gain an overview of the patterns and the practices of various business organisations worldwide and in the Asia region.
  • Develop skills in experiential, interactive and integrative learning.

Mondays to Fridays (Exclusive Public Holidays); Morning session: 9.00 am to12.00 pm; Afternoon session: 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Admission Requirements:

Minimum age: 16 years old

Local Applicants

  • Academic Level: Minimum 2 GCE ‘A’ Level Credits (Grade D and above) exclude all Languages; Hanbridge Institute Foundation Certificate in Business Management/Foundation Certificate in Business Innovation
  • For matured applicants 30years old and above without the academic pre-requisite but has 8 years of relevant working experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Language Proficiency: Minimum C6 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level

International Applicants

  • Academic Level: Equivalent of Year 12 from the respective home country of the applicants; Hanbridge Institute Foundation Certificate in Business Management/Foundation Certificate in Business Innovation
  • For matured applicants 30 years old and above without the academic pre-requisite but has 8 years of relevant working experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Language Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. Applicants whose English language level do not meet the minimum requirement can sit for an English Proficiency assessment to determine their English Language proficiency level.

*Note: Non-native speakers of English will be given the English Proficiency test. Those who do not meet the required English standard will need to enrol into Hanbridge Institute’s Certificate in Standard English Course.

Graduation Requirements:

Students must complete all modules with 50% passing grade to be awarded with certificate and transcript. A student who withdraws after 12 months with completion of 8 modules will only be provided the transcript but not the certificate.
