Strategic International Marketing
This module will provide students with a practical understanding of how organisations create and sustain desire for brands and then how to design and implement international marketing strategies. To ensure students gain an appreciation of international marketing in action this module will provide students with an understanding of how brands create value for customers using contemporary international marketing practice and how contemporary marketing practices in different organisations and sectors achieve marketing objectives. Students will explore both the theoretical background of international marketing concepts as well as their application in today’s fast-changing and rapidly growing digital marketing landscape.
Managing People Effectively in an International Context
This module aims to provide students with a broad introduction to managing people effectively across different national contexts through the introduction of key concepts, theories and contemporary practices. It considers the global challenges of developing and implementing effective international people management strategy in multinational organisations. This module will explore the crucial role of cross-cultural differences and interactions influencing people management practices in international organisations by analysing its impact on people management functions such as resourcing, talent management and development, performance and reward management as well as employment relationship matters from an organisational leadership and management perspective.
Research Methods and Proposal
The purpose of this module is twofold: to examine the use of systematic research approaches to help build understanding of specific business contexts; and to prepare you for the extended project or dissertation as part of their level 7 studies. In this module, you will develop their investigative and analytical skills. They will learn about a range of methods and methodologies for collecting and analysing data and develop their own approach to a research project connected with an area of business or management.
Dissertation / Management Project
The dissertation demands a high level of individual application and commitment to research. It provides students with an opportunity to identify, reflect on and explore a topic in significant detail. That topic should fall under one or more of the following broader themes: organization, management, work, business. Your research may constitute either a traditional academic project or an applied management report.
Note: This updated curriculum applies to cohorts commencing January 2026 onwards under the 30-credit framework.
Exemptions
Candidates with relevant qualifications and work experience may apply for exemptions in line with the University of Suffolk’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy. Exemptions are subject to Academic Board approval and may incur an application fee. Decisions are final, except in cases of procedural irregularity or proven bias. All students will be registered as University of Suffolk students and receive the same globally recognised award upon graduation.

Note: Applicants who do not meet the minimum English language proficiency requirement may undergo Hanbridge Institute’s Test of English Proficiency (TELP) to ascertain their English level. Individuals who fail to meet the prescribed proficiency level will be required to register for the Certificate in Standard English Course offered by Hanbridge Institute.
